Which sensor

Hey I need to replace my back-up light switch on my tranny but im not sure which one it is.. Theres 2 on the drivers side, 1 closer to the bellhousing and 1 to the tail of the tranny. Which one ? I dont want to pull out the wrong one. Any help is great please , thanks - joe.

should be the one closer to the bell housing, the one towards the tailshaft is for the vss

Well I just got back from a friends house trying to take off the old one because in my apartment complex they dont let residents work on their cars and I couldnt get the sensor off... I mean not to mention the lack of room for a crecent wrench. I didnt have a correct fitting that would be long enough to go over the fitting so I was stuck with trying to use the wrench. Once I got the cresent wrench on, I beat it with a hammer and the sensor would not turn !?!!? Would a torque wrench be my best friend at this moment ?
