1998 Grand Voyager lost all electrical.....

Was backing out of driveway, engine died and lost all electrical power, except a chime that rings when you pull the key out of the ignition. Sounds like the chime that rings when you open the door with the key still in the ignition. It rings with the door opened or closed and stops if you put the key back in the ignition. There is also a non-stop clicking sound under the dash that sounds like a relay. Those are the only signs of power in the van. I disconnected the battery until I can figure out what is going on. This is a 3.3L SE.

Sounds like a battery that is shot or some extremely dirty battery cables. First clean the battery cables and thoroughly rough up the insides of the cables with a battery terminal brush and see if that helps and have the battery load tested at the parts store.

I saw this same exact problem with the fix somewhere on one of these forums, I don't remember which one, but the problem was something simple like a wire came off some little box near the brake pedal.
