1985 GC Limited 318 V8 AC issues

Hi, I have a 1995 GC and the air condition will cycle on and off. The compressor will run for 30 mins then just quit and if i fiddle with the controls like turn it on off or to automatic from manual it comes back on. I imagine its not a r134a pressure issue as it blows cold when it does stay on. Like i say its just the compressor that quits, then famns all still blow and all, is there a relay or something that could be bad or?

Also, i have the information center in the bottom of the center dash panel like most do, but the clock in it always resets back to the 1 jan date and flashes.. I have reset it time after time and it does this. Is there a backup baattery in it or something or what could cause that? > And on another problem..it also overheats when idle at traffic lights and such runs at about 210 after sitting at Wendys drive in..Seems like clutch fans working as i hear the fan more when its hotter, not sure though, plz help..
