1998 Olds Silhouette Engines

I have a 1998 Silhouette GLS with a bad engine. I am having trouble finding a replacement near me. I have found a 2004 Alero 3.4 litre. Does anybody know if this would work? Same size engine is about all I know. Anybody know of any resource I could check to cross reference what engines would fit the 98 Silhouette?

Welcome to AF, more than likely this engine, particulary the pcm controls, will not interchange, any salvage yard can supply you with direct interchange info.

The engine might swap over, but the PCM controls won't, because they use different transmissions.
