Lift kit

Well our suspension on the blazer has completely broken (ball joints..everything..)

so were looking at lifting the truck and replacing the whole suspension...who makes a lift for the s10-series blazer??? what kind are good?

we havent had any luck finding any companies that make a lift kit.... we dont want body lift..we want/need full suspension lift

You can go with Rocky Mountain Suspension. I just purchased the 2" lift kit. Granted I could have gone higher, but I am really interested in rebuilding the front suspension. I purchased on the internet for $525 and that includes shipping. I also purchased a set of upper and lower Moog balljoints (Problem Solvers). From what I have heard, and read here in these forums, is that they are the best balljoints you can buy.

I ordered the the kit last Thursday, and much to my disappointment, RM has not shipped it yet. I am itching to get in there and git'r done!!

I am also replacing all the sway bar bushings, lower control arm bushing, and am currently looking for the correct steering components.

If possible I am going to work with a long time friend of mine who is been doing auto work for the past 15 years. Hopefully we can get some step by step pictures and descriptions posted.

My only problem I can think of at the moment is replacing the torsion keys with the lift keys. I know you need a torsion unloader tool and have not been able to find one.

There are other kits out there that offer higher lifts....just search around.

You should not need the unloader tool - as long as the lower control arm is free. see this thread for more info http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ht=torsion+key

Also, be aware that the upper control arm may need to be replaced if/when using a different indexed key to lift the blazer.

Thanks man , that link you provided explains allot. The kit I bought comes with new upper control arms to address the 2" lift using the new T-Keys. I also have new Moog Problem Solver Ball Joints for both the upper and lower control arms. Your link also mentions taking the sway bar apart, I have the new bush kit for the sway bar and end links so this works out well. I'll just replace those bushings and leave the end links disconnected for the rest of the lift.

Hopefully can get this all done in the next couple of weeks.

Brian_D did what you suggested and worked with NO issues . I installed the Superlift 2" kit, and while it was just time consuming, it really was not that difficult to do .

I took it to the shop this morning for alignment and asked that they inspect everything. They said there were no issues other than I did not crank the T-Keys up high enough. No binding and everything worked as advertised.

I will say that Rocky Mountain Suspension was a pleasure to deal with, and took some of my critisims on their manual very well. (the problem being that it is the same installed instructions for both the 2" and 6" lift.)

Now the bad news, during the shops inspection they found the idler and pitman arm were worn and that my timing cover was leaking pretty bad .

Guess I'll be looking on here for some "how to" on changin the ilder and pitman arm. The timing cover I am leaving for them to do as it involves more crap than I really want to get into.
