my 99 4runner won't start! help plz.

This morning, i got into the car and turn on the key, and it car won't start. I know the battery is ok cause there power and the battery say it ok. When i try to start it, all i hear is this loud rattle click thingy, i think it coming from the starter (not sure).. anyone know wat the problem?? plz help, thanks.

Did you use a meter to check the battery? How old is the battery? The starter motor itself maybe bad. Bushings in the starter motor wear and bind not allowing the starter motor to turn. Starter motors require more power than lights. If the battery is has poor connections or is not holding enough charge, there won't be enough power to turn the starter motor.

Sounds alot like a dead battery. Have it tested.
