Which Header is better Stainless Steel or Ceramic? I am buying a header & the lady said they got the wrong order (double shipment of ceramic) so the SS will be on backorder for a week or two. Should I just get the Ceramic or what? Which lasts longer, is hotter, looks better? Please give me the pros & cons. The ceramic is $249 & the SS is $299 but i can have either one for $140.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

I really dunno, ceramic supposedly lasts longer, but there is an up to stainless, I got friends on both sides of the spectrum, 97 Prelude S - ceramic dc sports, 94 GS-R stainless dc-sports. It just depends who you talk to

actually..its kinda the opposite..the ceramic coating keeps the heat in...which keeps the engine bay cooler...but....supposedly, the ceramic doesnt let the steel expand like its supposed to...something like that, I forget...hehe...

Stainless with both be cooler and last longer. Ceramic coating that is done on exhaust is hardly thick enough to actually retain as much heat as a full stainless setup. AND Stainless will last longer because it won't rust whereas ceramic coated exhuast would.

Thanks 4 all the help, i guess i'm gonna wait 4 the stainless 2 come in. I've talked to a company that does ceramic coating and they said that if u coat exhaust u need to do inside & outside 2 make much of a difference & if u don't do the inside it will rust from the inside out. I also talked to the header company & he recommended the stainless, he said it will last longer and stays pretty cool.
