Wierd third brake light problem

never had a problem with it till now. one my way home, a friend was behind me and said when i hit the brakes, the third brake light did not work until i hit a bump, then it went off. i got home and the third brake light will only work if A. the hatch is popped (goes off when hatch is shut or contacts the latch) or B. if the hatch is closed and pressure is applied to the top of the light. im thinkin a bad ground or somethin but where? if its inside the light housing, im gonna have to cut part of my spoiler off to get at it.
just another problem to deal with but as always, any help/suggestions would be appriciated. thanks

Re: Wierd third brake light problem

problem solved. if the wire comin from the light is held to the right, the light stays on. so a little duct tape later and im good to go.
