Opinion needed. 2000 civic SI with Integra Type R motor.

Looks like im goin to be gettin back into the honda scene. My boy just finished his project but now he wants to sell it to me. Its a '00 civic SI full suspension kit, stock integra type R (usdm) that has 195 hp, full exhaust system with Sparco racing seats. He also painted it Championship white (the color of a white integra type r) along with some Rota Slipstream rims. Anyways he selling it to me dirt cheap but I might want to take that advantage to sell it for alot more. The motor is fresh off from the factory. He only put like...3,000 miles on it. The chassis itself has 93k miles on it.

Anyways im tryin to see if I can get away with 14 grand for it. I've been out of the modifying scene for 2 years and lost touch on the idea of how much they go for now. I think 14 grand is probably reasonable but I dont think I can squeeze that much. What you guys think its worth? Probably not the best source to ask here but I'll give it a shot

First off. is he selling it to you cuz there is a problem? Y would he put so much $$ into it to sell it dirt cheap? Second, is he selling it to you cuz he knows you'll take care of it (and wond just go selling it to some other Kid who knows nothin?)?

Umm first of all. I've been into the scene for 8 years now. I've done and completed swaps. I had a poor mans type r swap in my old crx that hit 13s. My boy gets his parts cheap, free body work. For you to call a 25 year old a kid is absurd. I know how much he spent on parts. He wouldn't sell it to anyone else for the price hes asking for. So I know what I'm doin.

hey Mellow i dunno how u took offense to anything Gman said..he was just asking if he's selling it soo cheap cause there might be a problem and he wasnt calling u nor the seller a kid..he was trying to say maybe he wants to sell it to u cause he knows u will take care of the car since u have experience and wouldnt juss go selling it to some kid for profit. which if u do feel the need to make profit..i recommend keeping the car for a few mths and then sell it if u feel the need to. 14 g's doesnt sound too bad..i guess it all depends where u live and the quality of parts and if the car has been well maintained. if i had 14 g's id prolly be intrested in the car myself..sounds like the seller has good taste.

Yeah, the paint does look rough from the pics and either the rear bumper cover is missing or is a dark color. Also looks like parts of the A/C system are missing, that would be a minus for me. What would you like to do with this car? Show? Race? Daily driver? Combo of the three?

The stock car is worth about $6.5K I'd offer like 11K IMO, because if you want to get a respray that will cost a few grand easy for a quality job.

well I can't see to well cause those pics are kinda small.. But from what you listed done to the car and the looks of those pics, I would def. pay 10-14k for that car..if all was in smooth working order.

"Its a '00 civic SI full suspension kit..."

is it an civic si, or is it just the si suspension?

apparently where your from si's don't mean much. out here you could get 14k on a stock one if the miles aren't to high.
how's the title? clean?
i would pay 10k if it's not a real si, and 13k if it is a real si, and the title is clean.

Yeh now I feel stupid. I just misunderstood him thats all. My fault. You're right. He trusts me with it and he feels more comfortable selling to someone that knows honda very well. He lives in Cali now and I have to drive up there to pick it up.
