I just got this alarm installed...nice features, really nice. There are 2 things that bother me tho...i am pretty confident that it can be fixed.

1. Alarm sensitivity...i kno i can adjust that
2. Turning the alarm off...it doesnt turn off right away once i hit the button...i have to keep hitting the unlock button...is there another button to hit or combination of buttons that turns it off right away?

Re: Viper 791vx

1) there is a knob somewhere on the brainbox that adjusts sensitivity.

2) how far away are you from the car when you are disarming it ? There is a little black wire hanging from the brainbox that is the antenna (unless it has a seperate antenna). It should disarm the first time you press the unlock button, I don't know of any that are designed to have a delay.

I was just guessing ... I have seen the new alarms with those seperate antennas. You might wanna browse thru the "gasp" instruction manual.

Re: Viper 791vx

there are lots of people out there that have "manualphobia" ...... they would rather get online and wait sometimes days or weeks before getting a response to something that is written right in the manual ........
