im looking for a diesel passenger car within the 1990-1998 year range i dont know any production car models with diesel engines except trucks obviously something reliable would be great

volvo makes some diesel cars volkswagon i think had a diesel bug

i already checked there wasnt a volvo witha diesel engine in the year range that i wanted the only one that i know of is a mercedes SD300 and it's out of the question

very rare but both toyota and nissan made deisel trucks in 1980-81

neither company makes deisel engines but the ones they used are famously reliable.

A old beater nissan deisel was in the local craigslist asking 4k? lol I was thinking they added a 0 somewhere.

edit oh, you need the golf tdi or jetta tdi. Only option. There isnt a mercedes those years I think youre mistaken. You will have to go older to get a mercedes deisel.

1994-1995 Mercedes E300
1996-1997 Mercedes E300 non turbo 3.0 l diesel
1998-1999 Mercedes E300 turbo

Until 92 also made a diesel S class
