Unhappy 1998 Isuzu Rodeo 4X4 problem

Guys need help I try to use my 4X4 on my Isuzu but it was making a kind of a grinding noise, I stopped engage 4X4 and ran it at 35mph for 2 min stopped and was making noise. Also in order to disengage it from 4x4 to normal doesn't do it right away when switch is off. Need to completly stop vehicle and play with switch and Hi-Lo Gear shifther and suggestions?

Not sure, but did you drive it on dry pavement? If do try to keep it down to only a couple of blocks to help keep the 4wd parts lubed up.
