Looking to buy 99 Aurora

Ok, so i am going to the car lot today to finialize the sale on an 99 aurora... it _looks_ great, well cared for and drives very well. but it's got 115k miles..

I can't have a high maintanance car, as i put 100 miles a day on my vehical, is this a bad buy at $5250?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

-Echo

Re: Looking to buy 99 Aurora

Edmunds says the price is just about where is should be.

I do about 100 miles per day too and with enough care you will be fine.

My 97 is now at 224,000. Runs and rides perfect.

Re: Looking to buy 99 Aurora

oh that's good to hear. i have to say, i fell inlove with this car as soon as he opened the door, and it kept getting more and more as i drove it. i've never owned anything more slick then a ford contour... so i am a bit leary.

thanks again

Re: Looking to buy 99 Aurora

This car has stranded me one time only - and it was my own fault. I replaced the serpantine belt and when the parts guy asked if i wanted the water pump belt too, I told him I'd get it next month. Go figure; 2 days later on the hi-way the wp belt let go.

The drivers info center first told me "Engine HOT, turn off AC" and then within 15 seconds "Engine HOT - Turn off Engine". She never got into the red and the wp belt took 15 min to do.

just stay on top of things and you will get miles of smiles.
