Le Mans Bentley Green

Having asked around on a few other places, I thought I'd give you guys a try at this one...

To keep it short and sweet - a oneliner: What is the best green to use for a LMM Bentley?

Any and all suggestions appreciated! Needless to say, I've been breaking my head over this one...

Re: Le Mans Bentley Green

Thanks 935K3! Only problem being I am not situated in the US, but in South Africa. I don't think shipment of rattlecans is permitted outside the US by their laws - even if I manage to get somebody to get it for me.

That would have been a great solution though! Or am I wrong in thinking that it can't be shipped out?

If you get the correct OEM code I can mix it for you and ship to SA.

No you can't, aside from the import and tax restrictions it's illegal to ship that to SA.

Seabee, find a good body shop near you that can do paint color matching and mixing and then approach them with the number 935k3 gave you. I've had it done myself in PE so no matter where you are you should be able to get it taken care of.

Re: Le Mans Bentley Green

Hey FreakRay, are you from PE? Still there?
I've had paints shipped here in the past (alclad), but think certain countries' export reg's are just prohibiting it, rather than SA import restrictions...(?) Then again, on those occasions they were shipped inside a kit.

Re: Le Mans Bentley Green

Are the Testors' brands of paints available to you. I used a mix of Boyd's dark green pearl and Model Master Graphite metallic and it came out very close. (I think it was about 80% green/20% graphite) Are you building the LeMans Miniatures kit that at least provides a paint chip to try to match?

Mike

Re: Le Mans Bentley Green

Mike, yes, it's the LMM 2003 version, have the paint "chip" included - it seems like a pice of cloth in the correct colour...(?)

Freakray, at what shop in PE did you get that sort of service? I am from the winelands and might get sorted in CT somewhere, but need a pointer where to start - if my current option does not work out... Did you basically drop in at your friendly neighbourhood "panelbeater"?
