97 Bonneville SE is sluggish

I went in like 10 pages but I could not find what I am looking for. So here it is.

I'm driving a 97 Bonneville SE right now and it seems really sluggish and I am forced to drive like a granny ... I know its not my mustang but c'mon the way I am forced to drive it has a 0-60 of like 10 seconds + . It runs fine except if you try to rev it at an idle it will stall or if you hit the has too hard it will actually bogg down and well you slow down

I was told it was because of either traction controll or some kind of computer controlled throttle ... is there some way to disable this without harming it? It is not my car its my dads ... my mustang is stuck in the garage right now as I am dropping in a 351 while I rebuild my 302 and replace the motor mounts I kinda ... broke ...

I dont want to do burnouts or anything with this car I'm just sick of people honking and I am sick of the car bogging down

Welcome to AF, some basic diagnostics are in order here, check fuel pressure first, 41-47.
