94 Chrysler Concorde Air Condition/Climate Control Problem

I have a 94 Concorde and lately the car is possessed by this I mean the air/climate control is not working correctly.

ex. One day it was 107 degrees outside and I turned on the air conditioner and it was cooling off the car still blowing cold air then the next thing I know it starts blowing out hot air out the defrost vents.

It's unresponsive when I push the buttons it works sometimes and sometimes not at all I thought it might be the climate control so I uplugged the unit completely and it still was doing crazy things.

Now it's blowing cold air through the vents the top and floor and the lcd display doesn't read anything.

The only way the air will work and continue to function is for me to pull out the climate control unit completely from the dash and make sure that there is a lot of tension on it then it all works and the buttons are responsive.

I was going to buy a new climate control but then I discovered pulling it out from the dash makes it work, so I'm not sure buying a new one would help.

I don't know what to do everyday I have to go through this most of the time I just pull out of the dash and leave it except for when I park somewhere then I put it back in the dash.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Thank you (in advance) for your help.
