Re: talon to ecplise tail light conversion

Only two posts and you posted the same thing in different threads. You only need to post it one time and somebody will reply... By the way, welcome to Automotive Forums...

Anyways...

You need to get some Eclipse taillights and the rear bumper from an Eclipse (or bodykit) whichever you prefer. When you remove all your Talon taillights and bumper, there will be the factory mounts underneath. You have to cut them off, move them up to the appropriate height and reweld them to the body. Then put your new bumper on, put the taillights in and then move to the inside. You will have to take your factory taillight harness and hack it up some and extend the reverse lights wires. Then run them through the floor and underneath to the bumper where the reverse lights are located and wire them into the Eclipse reverse lights...

In case anyone else wonders... The front end is a lot easier. All you have to do is remove your front bumper and headlights and put on an Eclipse bumper and headlights and they plug in the same. Very simple indeed.

If more details are needed for the wiring and welding and such, then you should obviously not be attempting this conversion...

There it is, for the million people who always ask, this is the thread we will now post unto them for the Eclipse conversion. Its that simple.

Enjoy.

Dude, the 95+ bumpers will not fit the 94 or older... The 2g's are much wider than 1g's.
