2000 blazer starting problems

I have 2000 S-10 blazer. It starts real rough. Sometimes it takes a couple of sec. to start. I put a new fuel pump and injector cleaner in. It started rite up. After about 3 days it was back to same problem. It doesn't do it all the time. If it runs for a while turn it off and then it starts rite up with no problems. I was wondering if it was a fuel problem or something else. Thanks

New fuel filter? And did you check the fuel in the tank? Check for carbon tracks at the coil. Just wipe between the coil and the heat sink.

my bad i put a new fuel filter in not a fuel pump. I will check tommorrow on the carbon. thanks for the reply

Any check engine lights?

Also, what was the brand name of the fuel pump?

no check engine lights and I haven't put a new fuel pump on. I just replaced the fuel filter.

lol, ok, best you don't say you put a fuel filter in when you post.

Have your fuel pressure checked.

I checked fuel preasure. It was 62psi without turning over and after a second it went back to 0. When I started it up it idled at 54psi.

fuel pressure regulator leaking or the check valve in the fuel pump assembly isn't seating.

okay thanks will check. hoping for regulator. fuel pump check valve would mean dropping fuel tank.

Same prob I had with my '99 untill that one day the day after I had filled the tank with gas it did not start and I had to drop the tank and replace the fuel pump.
