94 Rodeo ATF coolant lines
Hey everyone, first time poster but I've learned alot from everyone on here.
I have the same tick as everyone else, so I put in a lower weight oil on a scheduled change this morning. No difference so far. One mechanic told me alot of the troopers and rodeos have cracked exhaust manifolds either left or right and most people think it's the lifters. (tick, tick, tick, tick, tick,) anyways, I'm gonna take it in in a couple of weeks and see if he was right. OK, NOW FOR MY QUESTION: I installed a new radiator last week, it seems to be doing fine, it's not as cool on the guage as I'd like it, so I put in a new thermostat, well that wasn't it but I was hoping. So three questions: 1. ATF coolant lines, can you mix them up? is there a send and receive? Or does it matter, I can't remember which way they went on, I'm assuming it doesn't matter, becuase it just runs through the radiator and back right? HELP. 2. Is there a way to tell if your waterpump is going bad? I just had timing belt and waterpump changed on it a couple of years ago, but that doesn't gurantee anything. The gauge always heats up to one certain spot an 1/8 below half and stays there, just wondering if it might be better with new water pump? 3. the new radiator I bought from auto zone I found out after I put in is a single core, I was wondering if the stock radiators are dual core? My dad said something about that making a difference in the temperature response. so if it's just a little off, maybe it's because it's a single core radiator??? Thanks everyone. Guitarman |
