Re: B16a2 IN a 89 si Crx

do a search!!! noobs need to read the rules!

alright man you dont have to convert to a hydro tranny, you dont need to convert to obd2 and you can use a cable transmission. youre gonna need shift linkage, axles, complete motor, motor mounts, and an obd1 ecu if thats what youre goin for, i use a chipped p08 but you can also use an obd1 pr3. go to rywire.com cuz they have ecu conversion sets you can get which make wiring no problem. can even get the vtec wiring from them. you can use the stock harness so dont cut it cuz adapters can go on the different plugs and you can use your old obd0 injectors.

the swap pretty much drops in just gotta pound out your wall for alternator clearance and maybe notch out some areas for other clearance not too hard of a job. for your throttle cable check out junkyards or ebay for one from a del sol. i got mine out of one and it works just fine. youll have to cut the rubber stop at the end of your clutch cable to make it work but most of the stuff just syncs right up

Why don't you just use a B16a3 so you can have an OBD-I ecu with your OBD-I motor, instead of trying to have OBD 0/I/II.

You can use any B series trans. Cable would be better since your car is set up for that but if not, you can get the hasport conversion. You said you already have the motor, what motor exactly is it?
