94 PS Loss Volt Light On

While driving I heard a snap sound and loss power steering. Volt light came on immediately after the snap. Is this minor? major?

You've broken the accessory drive belt on the engine.. If it turns the waterpump, you'd better not drive it until you get a belt or you'll burn up the engine..

You were correct! Thank you, my trouble happened at night and with no flashlight I couldn't check until this A.M. Found you through Google. Glad to know there are those of you out there willing to offer some help. Next time I'll look first before posting....
