99 Blazer 4.3 Freeze plug location
I have a big ole coolant leak coming from the back of the motor.
Everyone I have spoke to about this say it's the freeze plug. Does anyone have any idea how you get to this so I can change it? I looked from top and underneath and can't see a thing. 1) Do I have to pull the motor or tranny? 2) Does anyone have a picture of the back of a 4.3 vortec so I can get my bearings on where it is located? Thanks in advance! Tony |

Re: 99 Blazer 4.3 Freeze plug location
This is 'supposed' to be the rear of a 4.3... Does this look
like it? Thx

Re: 99 Blazer 4.3 Freeze plug location
That looks like a 2001 or newer 4.3. The blocks are pretty much the same but the earlier ones have two freeze plugs on the bell housing side. That you will have to remove your transmission to get to.
