almost looks like that thing that you use to hook up subs when you dont have an aftermarket headunit.

Who in their right mind would actually do such a thing? Can a stock cavy radio put out anywhere near enough power to make subs worth having?

my buddies father has this setup in his monte carlo it does bump but nowhere close to if you had an actual headunit. so its pretty much they way to have a lilttle bump without buying a headunit. now why you wouldnt just slurge and get a headunit beats me.

Re: Can somebody tell me what this is in my trunk and connected to my speakers?

I got that in a front/rear set from www.turbotechracing.com with shipping they came to around $120, if you buy both front and rear you save $20, rather then buy them separatly. And yes, if you get both you really feel a difference going around corners, the car doesn't lean and sway so much, cornering in my 96 2.2 with the front/rear strut bars and lowered with the 1.6" drop from the eibach prokit and kyb agx struts was like a dream, the car was pretty much level and flat while taking corners, I can't stress enough how they dramatically change your cornering.

Re: Can somebody tell me what this is in my trunk and connected to my speakers?

hey where can i pick one of those up (the speaker thing) at like best buy or circuit city? i think my friend is going to buy my subs and he would need one. what difference does the stereo make when using subs isnt that what the battery and amp is for to make them loud.

Re: Can somebody tell me what this is in my trunk and connected to my speakers?

your stock radio doesnt put out a lot of volts as compared to a aftermarket cd player. the CD player i used to have was equiped with 4 volt pre outs. and yes you amp doe produce the power needed to puch your subs but your not going to get much sound to your amp unless you have a nice deck

You can get the same low ride with springs and struts, coilovers make your ride alot more stiff.
