1997 Park Ave wheel cover problem

Hello, I have a '97 Park Ave with chrome wheels. Twice now it's come out of two different shops with the clips broken off the center chrome caps. The first place sent it out with the cap hanging by 2 clips but replaced it free of charge. Yesterday it came back with another broken cap and the guy replaced it but it ended up costing me $52.00. for a new one. Is this a common problem with these wheels or are they really that careless at removing them? Is there a trick to getting them off without breaking them? Thanks!

No real trick, just sounds like someone being careless.
Try your local junk yard before parting with $52.
Take one off your car to show them.

Thanks, Good idea. I have the broken one to bring around now to find another one if I need one again! Next time I'll know better and remove them before anyone else gets the chance to.
