Window Problem

Has anyone had a problem with their window rolling down about 2 inches then stopping. That is what mine is now doing. Is it the window motor or maybe the window switch?

Re: Window Problem

I had it happen on my 94, yes it is the window motor. You can replace it yourself if you want there are directions posted somewhere on the boards. I replaced mine myself it was no big deal, you just gotta be a little careful about it and you'll be fine. Otherwise you can take it to a mechanic and let them rape you on it.

Here are the directions: http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

They're for a 4th gen, but it shouldn't be too much different for 3rd gens.

Re: Window Problem

Yep, motor. To make it easier, tape the window up while changing it.

Re: Window Problem

Is there a way to not ruin the little plastic pieces that hold the door panel on? Or can I just buy new ones at the dealer?
