Stealth vs. Cavalier

Yesterday i was with a few friends and we pulled up next to a red 4-door 2.2liter cavi. My friend said he knew one of the passengers and started yelling "wanna race?" We were both going onto the bridge and there was almost no traffic so we were going about 55 and i hit the gas a few times but he wouldnt go. Finally i saw him coming up from behind attempting to fly by me. Well that didnt work out to good for him cause when he got next to me i hit it and it dropped to 2nd and from 55-80 i put about 3 car lengths on him. I thought he let off the gas cause i WALKED past him. So we lined up again and this time i told him to go and he took off. I hit it from 55 again and i took it up to 75 and had about 3-4 car lengths on him. Unfortunately he had to do a flyby, but it was still fun. It was a 2.2 non ecotec so it wasnt too hard but it was my first race in a few months.

Well, when you haven't had a race in a while it is nice to get any race at all.

Nice kill man!

Exactly. As long as you had fun, why not.

Good race TC. I'm driving that 17-18 second car that you speak of and I took down an Avenger and a Grand Am so it not too terribley bad of a car. Until you hit third.........

Any race is a good race if you had fun.

ion redline, not a bad car. I dont like the look as much as the cobalt, but it has suicide doors, decent interior. My friend has one, didnt feel that quick to me tho.

Re: Stealth vs. Cavalier

Good kill. Do you have the twin turbo version of the Stealth? If so, you should probably be hunting for faster cars.

Nope, he has an R/T non-TT, but still, a Cavy was an easy kill. If he had an ES or a base model then it would be a different story.

why do you have to love the top speed of 145 MPH? My cavalier only did 110MPH and i had no troubles in the quarter mile or racing people. If you go 145MPH on a public road you deserve to get kicked in the nuts.

Ha, look at that. I didnt even have to answer. One thing though, if i had an ES it would be the exact same story except the car would look like a base. Yes it was an easy kill but its the only one ive had in a long time, the funny thing is im supposed to race my friend who has a car just like it but 2 door. After that i should get a good race though cause im gonna race my friend in his 5spd stealth r/t
