1989 E-150 Serpentine trouble
My 1989 E-150 serpentine belt will not stay on. Have replaced tensioner (was obviously broken) and power steering pump. Sometimes will stay on for a few days, sometimes only a few minutes. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Re: 1989 E-150 Serpentine trouble
You may have a pulley that is misaligned with the rest of them. Like the Power Steering pump. Is the pulley too far in or not pressed on far enough? check all of the pulley/components for looseness or wear.

Re: 1989 E-150 Serpentine trouble
some pulleys have 5 grooves and other have less or more could make the belt to take off, i remember once changing my alternator and the guys told me to keep the original pulley. Count your belt groove and make sure it fit perfectly you pulley groove, you may have one pulley with the wrong groove or belt check this out
good luck
