was there a trend in 80s?

if you think new cars look alike, look back at the 80s...

1988 Honda Accord HB - Sorry, Touge Monkey

1984 Nissan 200SX (S12)

1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S (AE86 Trueno GT-Apex) - Initial D, anybody?

I can see how most people would say they look alike now, but back in the 80s no one thought they looked the same.

Well, Honda ripped off the styling of the Corolla, thats for sure. I noticed this walking around town... There is even a panda Accord in my town

Then again, the Datsun 200sx and AE72 Corolla look very similar, and the 86 and S12 are just updates of that styling. Anyone ever seen a S12 turbo? Probably the most underappreciated performance car ever made... They got too heavy towards the end, but man, you get an 84 S12 Turbo, and strip it down to 2000 lbs, and you have a nice car.

Yeah, Ford burns Mercedes Benz with the late LTD, Honda burns the Focus with the new civic... I think it is the new accord that has the tail completely stolen from the MB SL500...

Everyone does it...

Say, I bet a 200SX S12 would be an awesome drift car. I don't think they consider it a Silvia though.

I think the S15 is pretty sweet looking, but the S13 hatchback gets my nod first. Especially in Sil80 trim! I've seen a S15 SilEighty, and it was very cool.

How dare you call my baby an Accord!!!!!!!!!!

The body shape may look similar, but that's as far as the similarities go.
Next time, be more careful how you phrase your sentences
