98 gxe valve adjustment

can the valve on a 98 gxe 1.6 be adjusted. the cars got a lot of miles 266,000. and it is getting noisy by the oil fill cap.thank for any help.

im not 100% sure but i believe the answer to that is no. someone who knows the motor for sure can maybe tell you better, but i think its hydraulically adjusted by oil pressure. which means to fix it you have to replace it. but first check to see if your getting adequate oil pressure.
