50 Studebaker Bullet Nose

SAw a few of these at Hot August Nights... thought I'd do one. Still working on coloring with gradients and layers.. Been a while... China was exhausting, but did see a technique I thought was interesting. Will try it later. CC's always welcome. Robo

Good to see some of your work again.
Chrome work looks great.

Wondering if, based on what I think is your light source angle, if there
shouldn't be a little bit of drop shadow showing under each driver-side tire?

Re: 50 Studebaker Bullet Nose

Very nice as usual, Robo! Your style is very unique and recognizable. Maybe take another look at the shadow under the car... I think it would be bettter if it connected with the entire bottom edge of both tires. If the shadow was like that in real life, it would probably be due to really intense sunlight, and therefore wouldn't have such soft edges. I hope I'm making sense here

Man

very cool!

This particular car is one that I have always struggled with drawing. It's like my Achilles heel...you make it look easy.

Great job.

Re: 50 Studebaker Bullet Nose

Thanks, guys. You know, I have allways thought that the Bullet Nose Stude was ugly, but after seeing a few at Hot August Nights (Reno), I see some interesting beauty in the car... at least when they are modified, customized, etc. Robo

The white-to-orange makes it look like sherbert ice cream XD Just kidding, good stuff man. I notice your lines (most noticably the doors) have some jaggies. Dunno if you can do anything about that though
