2002 Sebring Coupe Remote

2 functioning Keyless Remotes suddenly died (One had never been used, but was programmed as a backup). Thinking it was the batteries, I replaced them, but the remotes still did not function. Took them to the dealership to be reprogrammed and was told the remotes were BAD and the dealership couldn't reprogram them. I then purchased 2 more remotes on EBAy (each from a different supplier). Took those into the dealership (along with my previous 2 remotes) and was told that all 4 are bad. They checked all the batteries and they are fine. WHAT GIVES? I find it hard to believe that remotes can be this unreliable. Dealership said remotes won't pick up signal. Any suggestions or anything I can do to try and program them myself?

Re: 2002 Sebring Coupe Remote

try opening your original remotes and pull out the circut board. place a small piece of folded paper in the casing between the casing and the circut board and reassemble. Problem may be that the buttons are too worn down to make contact with the board. This will raise the board high enough to make contact. I f this does not work have the recieving unit on the alarm checked ' by a different dealership'. PS> remotes don't get signal they only give it unless they are digital. If they are stock(factory remotes) they are not digital. Hope this helps.
