breather

doing a 461 stroker.and iwas wondering what you thought about adding a aftermarket breather kit are they available for what price. whats the pros/cons?

Define "breather kit". Do you mean valve cover breathers?

What heads you using? Is it the "real" stroker kit (Eagle)? Just being nosy here... (:-

hey jim i was talking about valve breathers with pcv vent system.
just went over list with machine shop but i didnt know to much about breathers.it will be a real eagle kit. 400 block 30 over.performer intake and performer 87cc heads.1'' spacer on intake if possible.aed 850cfm carb.crower cam.only thing being used original is the block.davis distrib.

just wanted to say thanx also jim you helped me very much.your writings on how to build a shortblock and our talks convinced me to go with this package.you have also given me alot of knowledge.when i started i could barley tell the top from the bottom.i still dont know to much but i know enough not to be mislead or ripped off.and ive learned some of the history and workings of the pontiac v8.thank you.

lilhomy,

No sweat, dude. That's why I come here!

I advise against that Perforrmer, though. Too small for the engine you describe. Torker II is the intake of choice for a larger Poncho on the street.
