first attempt

this is my first attempt at adding color to a picture
any suggestions for technique would be greatly appreciated

my two cents: you captured the color correctly, in respect to the correct places (gotta love those lines on the 50's and 60's Chevys.) It looks like you used a greyscale color on the darker areas which in that case, i believe, you would want to use more force with the same color or possibly even a similarly colored marker... you'll notice a big difference as I did the first time I fixed the same mistake when I was first learning color technique. And if you're anything like me, it may take some time to find the right combination of tones that will please your personal eye. Good luck in your practicing!!

try to keep your lines cleaner and use some white pencil on top of the color and then one more layer of color to keep it smooth......
