4 channel amps?

hey guys, i just want to put an amp in thats a 4 channel to power my speakers. I'd like at least 50watts rms each channel, and it must have speaker level imputs (i know using them arent the best, but i really dont want to run rca's). What would you guys recommend? thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: 4 channel amps?

why would you rather run speaker levels than rca's?

Re: 4 channel amps?

speaker level inputs mean you can run a wire from the rear speakers straight into the amp ... no RCA's to run. Of course you still have to run an auto turn-on wire.

Re: 4 channel amps?

actually auto turn on is already there from the head unit from an old two channel i had (pioneer gm-h50) hitting the pioneer 6x9's, but it blew, and i want something now with enough options to adjust the hpf and lpf for the fronts and rears individually, does that make sense? Or am i dreaming and have to settle for in line bass blockers?

Re: 4 channel amps?

i find myself turning the bass down with the headunit right now cause i can hear the fronts just being raped from too low of frequencies, and the rears still have plenty to go.

Re: 4 channel amps?

Why not get a head unit that controls the bass levels of the amp and stock system seperately? That way the stockers sound ultra clean. But to do this, you'll have to run RCA's.. I'd stay away from high level inputs all together.

EDIT: I think I read wrong...Do you have subs?

yeah, but then you have to run something from the fronts to the amp in the back anyway, so why not just run them from the head unit?
unless you want your rears louder than the fronts , with the fronts powered by the head unit.
i just don't see the logic, but whatever.

Re: 4 channel amps?

ok, how about crossfire amps? Are they any good? Like the vr404 found on this page.

http://www.crossfirecaraudio.com/frameset.asp

At my local pawn shop they have one for 75.00, but i think i could get him to drop. It would require me to rip out the ead unit and run rca's. Good amp or not? Any ideas? Thanks
