I have a friend that wants to swap out his stock engine because all his exhaust valves are bent, What other nissan engine would fit in the stanza?

Re: Looking 4 Swap Opinions
How about a SR20DET bluebird or a Pulser GTI-R engine.

Re: Looking 4 Swap Opinions
IMO the KA24E that is already in the car is a pretty good engine. Why not get a valve job, have it bored 0.20 over with new pistons/rings, stronger head gasket, headers, cold air intake. This should get about 170 hp at the crank. Or you could go with the sr20det bought as a front clip. They are exensive and would take a lot of modification to make fit. If done by shop $5000 total. If you do it maybe $3500 total. The build for the KA24E would be about $1500 and no modifications needed to make it fit.
Sorry but these costs are for example purposes only, so they are not going to be correct and maybe even way off. There are people that have turbo'd the KA24E in the stanza/240sx. |
