Windshield from hell!
ok any ideas anyone, my windshield can not be cleaned, the windshield wipers chatter accross and its impossible to clean, always smears, and streaks, and theres always this film that keeps building up on the inside of the window, i dont smoke and I dont know whats going on, i simply cant clean the windows, and same with the rear window, everything seems fine until the sun hits it, or until headlights hit it, any ideas anyone????

Re: Windshield from hell!
The problem on the inside is vinyl fog. Happens to everyone. A constant issue that requires a lot of cleaning. Try a good cleaner, straight ammonia and water work well if you can stand to use it. Otherwise try a good quality eyeglass cleaner, you may be surprised. As for the outside, try cleaning the windshield with diet coke. The acid in the coke will clean a lot of the crud off the window and not leave it sticky. Then hose it off and use the ammonia and water. A good set of silicone wipers should eliminate the chatter.

Vinegar and water is another good cleaner. The Armor-All glass cleaning wipes work great, but they don't give you much cleaning solution in the package. Buy either AC-Delco or Trico blades, stay away from Anco's cheap line, as they are a half plastic frame now and not what they used to be.
