2001 Caravan Blower Motor Install

I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan SE. The blower motor finally went dead after five years. This was after the second replacement of the resistor. My problem is this, I cant for the life of me get to the rear fastener that will allow me to lower the blower motor housing and get to all three fasteners for the blower motor. It seems like I have tried everything. What is the trick to getting the blower motor out? I am desparate.

Re: 2001 Caravan Blower Motor Install

I just had to do this on a 2000 this morning and I think it's the same deal. Had to use a flexible shaft to get to that back screw. Once you get it started it turns easy.

Be aware of the damper door for recirc/outside air can get screwed up if you are not careful. Mine broke, I think I got the wrong screw and it broke where it connects to the motor that changes it
