mirror problems

My rear view mirror fell just fell off my window . What do I need inorder to reattach it. Do I need to do anything special to the two surfaces that will get the adhesive. Thank you.

Remove medel part from base of mirror usually held on with a screw take a razor blade and clean off old glue and clean with actone or alchol go to Walmart and purchase mirror adhesive or at a parts store follow directions let it sit for a day and then install mirror over the part on the window and retighten set screw good to go.

We used clear silicone at the dealer. Clean good.

Might wanna do this outta the sunlight if possible....maybe in the shade or late in the evening....Lets the glue set better

Just buy the mirror mounting kit at any parts store and follow the directions. The last one I put back on had a 1 hour wait between putting the mount on the glass and putting the mirror back on.

Make you reglue the right side on the windshield or else you will feel kind of foolish.

I can't find the screw for my mirror on my Thunderbird. I did reglue the mirror on a Celebrity Chevy wagon but have hunted and hunted and can't find the screw on my Thunderbird. Any help would be appreciated.
