this sounds wrong but it is true

some how I have managed to get some crazy speeds in the first 2 gears. of course it doesn't help you, but my friend can verify these facts. somehow in first gear I can get up to 75-80 mph. in second gear I can get it up to over 100 mph. I wans't able to verify the topspeed in 2nd cause I got scared about stinkin cops in the ATL area. the engine runs fine and shifts perfectly during normal use, it is just strange that it will reach those speed in the first two gears.

Re: this sounds wrong but it is true

first... that's not likely.. i only hit 50 in first when i'm flooring it.

second... you don't have to try to impress people here... we're all fans of cars, and you don't have to say stuff that's not accurate to sound "cool" just be honest.

assuming if you have a J30 (since this is where you are posting) you should know the rpm that you shift at on each gear... tell me what rpm you hit and post pics, because i smell bs

Re: this sounds wrong but it is true

well im not flooring it and thats the thing
if i pedal it a bit it wont shift and go up to 75 or so in first gear
im not trying to say it to impress just letting you know bout my experience
even my friend who drives manuals all the time was able to get it to get up to 75 in first gear also. call me a liar but it is true.
