replace hood on '97 escort

Hey all, I've got a '97 escort, and wanted to replace the hood. I would like to just go to a salvage yard and find one, but I need to know what model years would fit the '97. Anyone know which years are the same as the '97?

Model years 1997 through 2002 will fit if you have the 4 door. I don't think the 2 door Zx2 will fit. They quit makin' 4 door 'scorts after that.

Sweet thanks. Yeah, mine is a 4 door. I haven't been to a salvage yard in years. Have any idea what price a hood is gonna run?

Re: replace hood on '97 escort

Around here (NW Arkansas) a guy can get a hood for about $100 give or take $20. If you live in a rural area it will be cheaper than the big city.

Thanks! How is it out there in the great Ozarks? I used to live in Rogers, (Benton County).

Life's great. I, too, live in Rogers. This town is growing like a weed. Lots of opportunity in jobs here. We're the third fastest growing area in the US.
