Should I get a ZX2?

I am thinking of getting a ZX2 within a few months. I was wondering some things. Are they at all fast, slow, or in the middle? Can they easily be made faster? Do they have a lot of problems? (I am looking into a 2000- 2003 in the 20k 50k mile range.) Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Should I get a ZX2?

I am a Ford tech. The ZX2 is a pretty good little car. I would suggest a ZX2 with a 5-spd manual trans. You will get over 40MPG with that.

The only common issues on the ZX2 is customers complain of vehicle vibration with the A/C on at a stop in "Drive" with an automatic. There was supposed to be a fix with an updated motor mount.

Re: Should I get a ZX2?

Does your ZX2 vibrate with the A/C on? The new mount will make it a little better, but not totally resolve the matter. It is a job. The mount I am referring to is on the passenger side upper by the inner fender.

But of course, it's just a TSB, so you'll still pay for it...should've been a recall, it's not like they had very many.

Re: Should I get a ZX2?

It's not a safety issue. That's why it's not a recall.
