Killed by Hertz Shelby Mustang....
There is this big mopar thing going on here in town and everybody has been out riding around since last night...I end up behind this black mustang with gold stripes...This mustang was sooooo sick..I got up beside him and in front of him. It had a billet looking grill and had those hood pins.We end up at a light and I told him how sweet his ride was..He says " I rented it from Hertz" and I noticed it had a chrome emblem that said Hertz on it....The guy asks if I wanna run him up to the exit ramp. Which was a little more than 1/2 mile I told him all he needed was the end of the intersection....He laughed and said he had been ragging it out all day and that you could only rent these from Hertz....You cant buy these...
anyways light goes green....I launched at about 2000 rpm and got about half car jump...by that time he is pulling hard...I look down and by time I was at 50 he had 2 cars on me...I went ahead and took it up to 95 and this mustang had several bus lengths on me....That Mustang looked and sounded the part and has no problem wearing a Shelby badge... I knew from the start I was going to get my ass handed to me but how could I resist....

yeah they look awesome, they dont have as much power as the regular shelby though. theres no supercharger on it, or atleast i think thats why it has less power. but it def. has less power.

^Ummm they don't even have to same motor Shelby GT500 SC 5.4L 500hp and the Shelby GT has a 4.6L 325hp and these are going on sail to the public this fall not just to hertz.

It's essentially a Mustang GT with intake and exhaust, which is good, according to Ford for a 25hp jump. They are suppose to be coming out with a GT-H model from Ford, which is the same thing.
Still i'm sure it's a mid 13 sec. ride, which can't be bad at all.

They look fantastic though and even though its only a 25hp gain it does have gears which help the acceleration a lot, computer tuned for sharper transmission shifts and it gets the same exact suspension as the Shelby GT500 so it can more then slap a regular Mustang GT in the ass and call it Sally.

The new mustangs are stupid heavy, cause they are built on the LS platform. It's too bad the engine in this iteration of body style wasn't put in the one before it, as the older body style is quite a bit lighter.
Then again there is always the Mach1. (Though some of the Mach1 owners on LS1tech do leave alot to be desired).
