Blower Growl
I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora with 67k miles on it with the 3.5L engine. Very recently I have noticed a loud growl coming from the dashboard. It seems to be related to the fan. The volume of the noise increases with the fan speed. It does not matter where I designate the air to come out or if the air conditioning is on or off. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what this could be and if I could fix it myself. Any help is greatly appriciated.

Re: Blower Growl
Welcome to AF!!
Remove the blower and lubricate the bearing on the motor. You can use oil or a light grease that will penetrate the bearing around the shaft. This should eliminate the issue, if not you may need a new blower motor. |

Re: Blower Growl
Thanks for the welcome. Where is the blower located in the engine bay?
