Make a "stethoscope" out of a short piece of rigid plastic tube or plastic pipe. You should be able to hear the injectors "click". They do not need priming.

Pressure at the fuel rail... have you verified that you have fuel at the rail? Could be air in the lines.

Also... I am not sure if it would trigger or not... but check the cutoff switch in the trunk.

Re: ran out of gas..now it wont start

I'm new to this forum, so I hope this doesn't sound stupid...

but what if when you ran ot of gas, dirt in the bottom of the tank clogged one of the fuel filters?

If the filter is not completely clogged, it might allow fuel to pass (which would produce pressure in the fuel rail), but it might not let enough pass to actually run the engine.

I've always been told that if you let your car run out of gas, that junk gets in your fuel system. Is there any truth to this?

its better to check for signal with a noid light, and remember that the pcm controls the ground not the hot side, so one wire should have voltage with the key on while the other should be checked for a ground signal while cranking.
As far as hakachukai s comments I'm not gonna say its not possible, but unlikely the pump has a strainer, and a lot of times the pump itself has a small screen on the inlet side, in any case its good to check for pressure at the rail and to check your fuel filter.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and Check for fuel pressure up to specs.
You will need 35/40 lbs of fuel pressure
You can not leave home without.
