98 door stop pins
Anyone have any advise on how to install the door stop pin. This is the pin and little wheel that the door spring pushes against.
There is a pin (about 4") that goes through a bracket on the body side. Then, there is a little wheel and a plastic bushing that is held on the bottom of the 4" pin with a smaller pin. I'm having troubles getting that small pin hammered into the 4"pin. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Re: 98 door stop pins
rlith,
Almost. I already know how to replace the door pins and bushings. I was trying to replace the door stop pin. It is the pin that has a little wheel on it that the door spring and arm pushes against. The wheel turns when the arm and spring pushes on it, allowing the door to operate nice and smooth. The arm allows the door to have an intermediate open position. Anyway, I got it. The trick was to hammer the little pin into the big pin first. Then hammer the big pin into the bracket. Thanks. |
