2005 Bonneville map lights

I would like to install an auto dim mirror in my 2005 Bonneville SE.

Can anyone tell me how to access the wireing in the map lights?

How do I remove the map lights.

I am afraid I will bust something if I just pull on them.

Thanks!

Re: 2005 Bonneville map lights

You may have to get power from another source. I'm not sure if placing the auto dim mirror on the map light/interior lighting ckt is a good idea due largely to the fact that power isn't constant & there is a PWD dimming feature when exiting vehicle. I would attermpt to locate a constant 12v source on an (auxiliary outlet, cigar lighter) ignition bus to power the mirror. Welcome to Automotive Forums.

Thanks Mark... That would have been a hell of a mistake.

Thanks for keeping me out of trouble and thanks for responding.
