Reading codes how to

Read my repair manual on how to read the code and it said i should have a red and green LED on the computer itself to flash the code. Mine doesnt' have any LED's. Is there something i'm missing?

btw it's a 96 4cyl, 2wd

Re: Reading codes how to

problem solved. My repair (Haynes) was wrong. 96 and up was OBDII and had a 16 pin connector under the driver side dash.
