Cluster ****

hi, I found a cluster for my cavy, where it's reprogrammed to change the stock 115 spedo to a 140 one. Plus on top of that, you can have it whatever color you want, with lights whatever color you want, SWEET, lol. anyway, here comes the question for all you cavalier specialists. If I bought one, that had a tach built into it, could I posibibly rig up a way of that working. I know I can't just plug it in and have it start working b/c the harness coming into the cluster doesn't have that on it, but couldn't I hook it up by running wires to where they need to be? I'm thinking I could. But I hope i'm right, cuz I don't wanna waste 200 bucks.

Re: Cluster ****

I'm pretty sure you actually do have the wiring already going there. All you need to do to get a tach in a cav w/o a tach is swap to a cluster that has a tach and it works right away.

Don't know why this would be different for yours.

Re: Cluster ****

I know for a fact that in the 2000+ Cavy's you can just switch the cluster with one that has a tac and it will work. I'm not sure about the 99 and below though.

me too, damn, I was hoping with two requests right in a row, real quick, they would have said yes, lol. Oh well.

The whole reason for that was for the white face with the red lighting. Does anyone know where I can find that? besides on a z24, lucky bastards, lol.

Re: Cluster ****

Buy stock guages with a tac, and check out www.speedhut.com
I'm not sure if they make overlays for your year model, but you can check there.
