I have a 1988 buick lesabre. It quits on me and won't restart periodically. It is spitting out code 043. I changed the electronic spark module but doing same thing. Any ideas before I start changing a bunch of electronic parts till I find the right one. It mostly happens after I stop the car. It won't restart.

Re: code 043 on 1988 buick lesabre. Help
If my memory serves me correctly, 43 is related to the crank sensor circuit?

Re: code 043 on 1988 buick lesabre. Help
If the camshaft sensor circuit is failing.. it more proubbly be the CRANKshaft sensor.. the crankshaft sensor makes the engine stop.. the camshaft sensor only controls spark advance.
Good luck |
