garble garble

So the claening women came to work today and they did more than they were supposed to.

I come back to my desk to find.

1. My VeilSide R32 has the headlight cover and mirror gone.
2. My HCR32 Ganador mirror gone.
3. My 100 Chaser Ganador broken off but on the desk.

oh yeah, i think she just threw away the missing parts instead of telling me. boo.
This saddens me.
I guess I can buy a couple of those Aoshima "drift parts" sets to get mirorrs again...

Re: garble garble

That's why I don't take models to work. I have a few toys sitting on my desk, but they don't break.

Re: garble garble

It's amazing how disrespectful cleaning staff can be of things. I can totally understand the difficulty of a tedious, thankless job, but all too often I've witnessed a blatent borderline intentional disregard for peoples things. i was in my office/cube one day when cleaning came by to vacuum. I had an old set of headphones plugged into the headphne jack of my PC on the floor (mostly to cancel the built in speakers, for websurfing ). The lady ran over the cord witht he vacuum, which sucked the plug out of the jack. The plug quickly got sucked into the vacuum, and was quickly sucked of the cord, leaving just the frayed ends of the wires. "Oops. Sorry", she deadpanned as she moved on to another cube. If the headphones had been halfway decent, I've had been seriously pissed. But often it seems that cleaning has the attitude that if you have it in your office, it's there to be broken.

I'd never bring in a model that wasn't safely enclosed in a case, probably stuck down and closed with doublesided tape or the like. Just too damn risky.

Re: garble garble

Sorry.
I have them sitting on my desk.
I want to build all the VeilSide models I can find, but I wish I could make work pay for them. haha.
I really want to build this damn 1/12 R1 Drag Car of ours that I keep seeing on ebay. I wonder if VeilSide Japan has any that they can send...
